The Leader of the Future Award
The Leader of the Future Award is about the future. It is about the
quality of lives, our organizations, our society, and the leadership
required to lead us into a future yet to be defined. It is about
values-based leaders of character who have the vision to see and the
courage to shape the future. This award is for them.
The recipient is a remarkable leader selected from the public, private
or social sector. This award is presented to a leader of exemplary
performance and results, and recognizes a leader who has answered
the Peter Drucker question, what in my organization could I do that
would truly make a difference? The recipient is a leader who
epitomizes our belief that leadership is a matter of how to be, not
how to do.
The Leader of the Future Award is given to an ethical leader of
integrity and character, who is a model for all of us in defining the
future, in serving the common good, and in the end, sustaining the
democracy.
